Aleksandar Stefanov

obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2022, followed by a Master’s degree from the same institution in 2024. He is currently a robotics researcher and first-year PhD student specializing in mobile robotics for dynamic and unstructured environments. His research focuses on the development of advanced, context-aware localization and navigation algorithms, enabling mobile robots and autonomous vehicles to operate autonomously in complex and dynamic settings such as agriculture, forestry, urban environments, and exploration. He is particularly driven by the challenge of deploying these systems in unpredictable real-world environments, where robustness and precision are critical. In addition to his PhD research work, he is also involved in research on mobile manipulation for next-generation smart factories, contributing to the DIGITOP project.
